Fall is really the best season in New England, I think.  The leaves are amazing, the air is crisp, it's cold enough for a cup of coffee or cocoa in the morning but not so cold in the afternoon that you need a heavy coat.  In short, it's wonderful.

Naturally, fall is also full-on pumpkin spice everything season here in the States.  Highlights of pumpkin spice mania include candles, yogurt, cookies, cream cheese, bagels, pita chips, and coffee.  So naturally, I had to make myself a hair ornament with little artificial pumpkins to celebrate the season properly.

And, (as the wrinkles might reveal), I'm starting to switch out my closet from light cotton and nylon to heavier wool, including this fantastic two-piece ensemble I bought in California several years ago.  A sleeveless two-piece plaid wool outfit hardly made any sense in my hometown, but it's one of my favorite transitional fall ensembles now that I live somewhere a little chillier!
