Fashion lover that I am, I usually make a point of wearing liturgically appropriate colors when convenient.  Sure, all that green for Ordinary Time gets a little tedious, so I tend to mix it up a bit... but when the colors come around the other side of the spectrum I make a point of matching.  So for the first Sunday of Lent, I made a point of pulling out as much purple as possible.

I've really been looking forward to wearing this amazing hat I bought from Raleigh Vintage last year as a present to myself for getting a job... but of course, when you buy a hat like this, you quickly discover that it goes with absolutely nothing you own.  Nothing at all.  And it really is a winter and spring hat... so it waited and waited for its moment to shine.  Fortunately, I found this suit at Modern Millie in the early winter and decided it would be just perfect to go with the hat.

I'm very pleased with how this all came together, and I am already making more hat plans for later in Lent!  Hopefully it will be a little warmer by then and I won't need quite so  many layers on.
