Whew, this weekend is exhausting.  Lots and lots of singing going on for this gal!  I did a glitter gradient french manicure to go with this dress for our concert last night.  I decided that it needed a little more oomph, so I added some silver swirly stamping.

(Pardon the healing burn on my index finger... I had an unfortunate incident with a cookie sheet!)

I'm super happy with how it turned out... it's only a shame that all the glitter means that the tips have already started chipping.

I started with my usual Sinful Colors Basecoat, which is lightly tinted, and then added two coats of Essence French Nude in Simply Nude. I made a gradient at the tips with China Glaze Tinsel Town, using a combination of sponging and careful brush application to preserve all the layers of color (glitters in colored bases sponge oddly).  Then I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep (I'll need a new bottle soon, shock and horror) and Bundle Monster plate BM-314.  I used Essence Better Than Gel Nails topcoat instead of my usual NYC topper to try to get the glitter smoother, but in hindsight I probably could have used both of them to get a really glassy finish.
