Week 31.1: Walking

Current Weight: 139.2 lbs
At Last Weigh-in: 139.8 lbs
Starting Weight: 144 lbs
Weight Loss to Date:  4.8 lbs

The weather has been nice, lately... alternating bouts of rain and crisp clear days.  It's the sort of thing that passes for winter in central California.  It really isn't winter, but it's about as close as we get.  Doug and I are mostly recovered from our bout of Seasonal Illnesses, so we've been taking it easy for the last week or so.  Mostly, our exercise has consisted of walks along the American River Bike Path, which we can access pretty readily from our apartment.

Doug has been working on breaking in the hiking shoes he bought himself for his birthday.  I managed to convince him that cross-trainers are not appropriate for Serious Business Hikes.

Today, we saw some birds.  I climbed on a dead stump.  It was generally much warmer than December 12th has any right to be.

Sports bra: Target
Purple exercise shirt: JC Penney (I like being color-coordinated, even in exercise clothes)
Yoga Pants: Target
Black and purple running shoes: New Balance
Grey fleece sweater, rather wapsed up: also Target


  1. That looks like such a beautiful place to take a stroll (or power walk!). I can't honestly recall ever being able to go sleeveless in December, it must be oodles of fun to do so.
