Week 12.2 & .3: Channeling the '60s

The weeks are still long and busy, so Doug and I took some time on Friday morning to have a breakfast Starbucks date of coffee and muffins.  I wore my new favorite dress... I think I need a few more of these in different colors!  It's so comfortable and versatile.

We're still pretty madly busy, so today's post will be mostly photos and very few words.  I think the photos make up for it.  I'm very pleased with them today! :)

Just enough room for a petticoat!

The bobby pin is to keep my belt from flopping open.

Dress: Made by me! Simplicity 4395
Hair flower: Icing
Belt: Stolen from an H&M blazer
Shoes: Reflection
Petticoat: Evangeline's
Bangles: Various
Gloves: Thrift store in Minocqua?

Saturday we went to Doug's house to work on painting his room (it's almost done, and it looks pretty!) and I took a few snaps of my outfit because I am posting three times a week, even if one of those is kind of boring!
Sweater: Stolen from Doug
Exercise Shirt: Target
Jeans: Hollister
Socks: Jaywalkers, made by me

  1. I adore the soft, muted (but in no way dull) palette of this charmingly pretty dress. You look strikingly lovely, my dear!

    1. Thank you! I generally avoid pastels, but I think I could grow to like them.
