Ribbit!  Today I have for you some adorable frogs.  Rina of Simply Rins did a manicure with ten froggy tips here, and  I thought it was absolutely adorable.  Of course, it took me a good long while to decide to do frog tips on my own nails, and I'm sorry I waited.  I love them!

I didn't have the time (or coordination!) to do ten froggies, so I settled for two.  I also spaced my frogs' eyes out a little further.  Now I want to try other critter french tips!

For my frog nails, I used my usual Sinful Colors Basecoat, followed by 2 coats (I think?)  of ULTA Professional Green With Envy, which is a really neat blackened base packed full of green shimmer.  For the frogs, I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lickety Split Lime.  I used the brush to make the initial dome shape of the frogs' heads, then I used a pencil eraser as a large dotting tool to make the eyes.  I tried to do little green cheek spots with OPI Who the Shrek are You? but it's too close in color to Lickety Split Lime and it didn't show up very well.  For the whites of the frogs' eyes, I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On and the pencil eraser again, then I switched to Sinful Colors Black on Black and my dotting tool to make the pupils.  I also used Black on Black for the nostrils, and the lead end of the pencil to draw them on.

This picture is slightly overexposed to make it easier to see the green glitter.  Love!

And now for something a little out of the ordinary... I also have an Eyes of the Day picture.  Or Eye.  I only got one of them on film.  Anyway...

I was feeling silly and decided to do green makeup to go with my green frog nails.  The colors I used are all from one of those big Sephora combo boxes, kind of like this, although mine is a few years old.
What do you think?
