Today's nails are brought to you by my color indecision.  I asked a friend I was Skype-ing with what color I should choose for my next manicure, and she said yellow, so here we are.

I only have two shades of yellow in my stash, and I just couldn't pick between them.  The obvious solution?  Use both!  I wasn't sure how I'd like the yellow shades with my skintone, but I ended up really liking how this manicure turned out.  It looked so bright and clean and summery.

Materials:
  • Zoya Pippa (Bright, saturated yellow.)
  • China Glaze Lemon Fizz (Pale yellow.  Like eggs that have been beaten with sugar for several minutes.)
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On (White.  Obviously.)
  • Sally Hansen Diamonds (Sparkly!)
  • Sinful Colors Basecoat and Seche Vite quick-dry topcoat
  • those little sponge eyeshadow applicators that don't work all too well for applying eyeshadow.

(Sunlight)
After applying basecoat, I started with 2 coats of Lemon Fizz.  With one of the eyeshadow sponges, I added Pippa to the free edge and diagonally up one side of the nail.  That looked a little blank, so I added White On in the same manner on the opposite corner to complete the gradient.  I probably could have stopped there, but I wanted a little more sparkle... so I covered everything with a thin layer of Diamonds, which is perfect for adding some almost-subtle sparkle to things.  I topped it off with Seche Vite, as always.
I wasn't sure I was going to like all this yellow, but I ended up really loving it.  It's so bright and sunny!
How do you feel about yellow?
