Shameless plug!  Have you voted for me in Bundle Monster's nail art contest today?

Phew!  The opera this weekend was lovely, and I finally have my life (and my hands!) back.  You aren't allowed to wear bright blue nail polish when you're playing a man onstage.  This is the mani I was sporting the week before the performance.

It matches my spring sundress so well!  I really liked how this design turned out, although the butterflies aren't quite centered.  I may have to give in and get the plate with the trademark Konad butterflies, I think they're better than any of the Bundle Monster butterflies I have.

Materials:
  • Sinful Colors basecoat
  • China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le (Cheesy name?  Yes.  I love the color anyway.)
  • Jesse's Girl Confetti
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep
  • Seche Vite topcoat
  • Bundle Monster Image Plate BM05

Method:
  • Start with clean, dry nails and a well-ventilated space, add a layer of basecoat to all nails and let dry.
  • Paint all nails with Secret Peri-wink-le.  I used two coats.
  • Using a sponge, apply Confetti to the tips in a gradient.  I started with a thin layer going about a third of the way up my nail and then came back and added more toward the tip.
  • Stamp some silver butterflies on, either with BM05 or your favorite butterfly image plate and Silver Sweep.
  • Top everything off with a later of Seche Vite.

I should be back to (fairly) regular posting now that this opera is over.  I will have color on my nails by the end of the evening!
