Sorry about the lame title... I had nothing better.  This manicure was a bit of a problem child.  As you can see around the cuticles, where cleanup was also especially problematic, I used white as a base for the neon pink.  I was using the Claire's Mood pink polish, which is the only neon pink I have, and it was not cooperating.  I needed 3 coats, even over white, and you can still see streakiness in the finished manicure.  I like the concept of these nails, and I got some compliments in my GE classes, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Materials:
  • Sinful Colors Basecoat
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear "White On" (Or white polish of your choice)
  • Claire's Mood "Funky/Fabulous" (Or neon pink polish of your choice)
  • Jesse's Girl "Blackout" (Or your go-to black stamping polish)
  • Seche Vite topcoat
  • Bundle Monster Image Plate BM20, stamper, scraper, and other stamping necessities.

Method:
  • Start with clean, dry nails and a well-ventilated space.
  • Apply basecoat to all nails, let dry.
  • Paint all nails with White On or your white and let dry.
  • Paint all nails with Funky/Fabulous or a better neon pink that will not require 30 coats to be opaque.  Use as many coats as you need to obtain opacity.  Let dry.
  • Stamp all nails with the star image from BM20, using Blackout (or another black) as your stamping polish.
  • Carefully top all nails with a thick swipe of Seche Vite.
